The Collège des Producteurs, Apaq-W and Wasabi 2.0 are organizing a double event on June 24 and 25, featuring Jean-Martin Fortier, founder of the Jardinier Maraîcher institute in Quebec and a leading advocate of renewed agricultural education. He will look back on twenty years of market gardening from the perspective of ecology and community, inviting us to project ourselves into the future.

These two days will be devoted to innovative economic models to ensure the profitability of market gardening operations and inspire players in local sectors. Registration is free, but compulsory, via this link

 

Tuesday June 24 - networking evening for edible horticulture professionals

On Tuesday June 24 at 5:30 pm, a Business Club dedicated to the edible horticulture sector will be held at the Espace Senghor (Faculty of Agronomic Sciences at Gembloux Agro Bio Tech).

On the program:
- A lecture by Jean-Martin Fortier "20 years of market gardening: cultivating ecology, community and future producers";
- A panel discussion with representatives of innovative Belgian business models.

 

Wednesday June 25 - Professional day at Filons Vert farm, Lasne

On Wednesday June 25 at 9:30 a.m., a day reserved for professionals who have set up or are about to set up a business will be held at the Filons Vert farm in Lasne.

On the program:
- A workshop on the "keys to profitability, the most profitable crops" with Jean-Martin Fortier;
- A presentation and tour of Ferme Filons Vert and its business model.
