The fundamental aim of Wasabi 2.0 is to increase our food self-sufficiency and encourage sustainable food and agriculture.
In concrete terms, Wasabi 2.0 contributes to the development of an innovative, resilient horticultural agri-food sector in both rural and urban areas, by focusing on the production, processing and distribution of fruit, vegetables, plant by-products and small-scale livestock with a low conversion index at local level. To this end, Wasabi 2.0 is developing research and innovation projects that meet the challenges of these sectors.
